latentsupremacy Big fan of this project's mix of post punk and black metal - including dank movie samples. But when the synths really kick in - along with the drums and vocals - the vibe clicks, there's nothing else like it and I want more. Favorite track: Titans Of Malignancy.
Mosees

Mosees Fantastic Blackwave, heavily influenced by early Electronica and, in my ears, Tangerine Dream. It's hard to pick a favourite because of the steady, hypnotizing flow of this release but I will go with the title track because of the superior synths. Favorite track: The Omega Era.

Favorite track: The Omega Era.

tr_🇺🇦 Hypnotizing not very black and not very metal, synth rainbow black metal. If you have a soft spot for retro/synthwave stuff give it a try. There is still some room for improvement but it's definitely unique and quirky. Favorite track: The Omega Era.

SBSTN Speechless my friend... this is sublime! Favorite track: The Omega Era.

Dork So very bleak...TOE perfectly embodies its own adage: 'May our ugliness forever fade'. What we get here are depressive, repetitive notes against ever-present yet tasteful synths that merge to create black metallish, industrial landscapes with slight nods to Nachtmystium's later works.

Fake empires rise To rule in soulless mire Thrones for breeding lies Lie fit for swine and flies Kings and queens Dream dead end dreams Kings and queens There’s no way from here Sulphur healing Modern days Blind my eyes As fever seizes Kings and queens Live dead end dreams Try to run but there’s no way from here Human pigs Milk of greed Curses cast upon your gold For I’ve kissed the ancient goat And by honour’s dying fire I walk in parts remote Broken forms became the norm Empty men in modern wars They never rode in any storms And circuits wrote their final lore Empty creed Walk from here The gods have turned their heads from us...

Ahead of us the dawn breaks On a grand age of misery Fulfilling a prophecy made Seeing blindly unto mystery The stars collapse As fate attacks Wretched races Virulence erases Beyond comprehension Desolation, too foul to mention Shatter all the moving parts In cold, machine hearts Break our frail bonds apart Wrest the joy from my guard Ultra-Pandemic will burn its hex Upon our weakened necks Ripped asunder, new disease X Mankind fades, cosmic specks Devoured by a great Satan Swallowed, in the belly of evil Devoured by our own making Swallowed in a grave that we filled The stars collapse As fate attacks Wretched races Die...complacent

about

"And to take us out, the latest EP from an artist I follow fairly regularly but don’t seem to post about often enough – Melbourne blackwave maestro Opium Grave. One of THE premier blackwave artists in the world right now, sole practitioner Siliniez gets better with every release and The Omega Era sees his bleak, misanthropic, blackened retro stylings near perfected into hypnotic waves of synth hell – plus he utilizes my favourite The Matrix quote in the closer ‘Titans Of Malignancy’, so I’m all in. Check it out for a dollar… it’s worth the money."

The Omega Era. Kali Yuga. We are all living in an age of decline, of spiritual degradation and of rampant materialism. Humanity has happily chosen its current path and it is one that leads to eventual oblivion.
However, it also leads to eventual reawakening and rebirth of the Earth. May our ugliness forever fade.
